Project Highlights:
The project originally started as study to evaluate the impacts resulting from the construction on a new middle school and expanded high school on the campus. From the study, it was determined that a new signal would be required at the intersection of Manor Avenue (US 322) & Rock Raymond Road. VFL prepared the warrant analysis, timing plan, signal analysis, and signal permit. The timing was optimized using Transyt 7-F with coordination to adjacent signals, progression analysis, and queue lengths analysis modeled with Traf-NetSim. The level of effort was expanded to incorporate an analysis of the entire Master Plan for the campus including up to ten separate athletic fields, an expanded junior high school, and a 6,000 seat football stadium. VFL's analysis included all access to the local highway network, internal campus circulation, parking adequacy analysis, and traffic modeling.
