 Location: Shohola Twp., Pike County, PA and Lumberland Twp., Sullivan County, NY Client: Penndot District 4-0; Subconsultant to BAC/Killam Description : VFL served as the environmental subconsultant to BAC/Killam on this assignment. The project involved the rehabilitation or replacement of the Pond Eddy Bridge between Pennsylvania and New York. The environmental studies are described in a Categorical Exclusion Evaluation. Detailed studies on the affected environment include: Natural Resources, Cultural Resources involving a National Historic Landmark (the Delaware and Hudson Canal) and a Historic Bridge listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as Scenic Waterway (the Delaware River). Ongoing consultation/coordination contacts are maintained with the federal and state (New York and Pennsylvania) agencies, local officials, the general public and special interest groups. Additional reports prepared for this project include: Section 4(f) Evaluation, HAER Recordation (Bridge and Canal), Determination of Effects, and Memorandum of Agreement.
