Job Description: Construction inspectors will be involved in both field inspections and laboratory assignments. Field Inspections of building and highway construction will include soils, foundations, concrete, reinforcing steel, masonry, asphalt pavements, and structural steel. Field testing activities will include preparing concrete cylinder samples, testing the compaction of back fill materials, taking concrete/asphalt core samples, and ultrasonic testing of steel. Inspectors will assist in material laboratory testing including, concrete cylinder breaks and recording data, soil moisture content tests, fireproofing material weight and density analysis, and soil sieve analysis.

Requirements:
High school or trade school education
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Current drivers license and vehicle
Ability to complete report forms
